Hello, I'm Raphael from Berlin!
I am an open-minded, empathetic, and helpful person who loves to get to know different cultures and make new friends. Berlin is my home, but I've visited Portugal several times and this time I want to stay for three months to see if I can imagine living there. I plan to explore various projects and meet people who have already taken this step.
My big dream is to have my own small guesthouse or retreat location one day, and I want to learn as much as possible to achieve this.
I am a blend of curiosity, motivation, and a hands-on mentality. In Berlin, I have my own eco garden in the northern part of the city and I enjoy building, gardening, and renovating my old house with friends. Before deciding to travel and gather new inspiration for my own little project, I worked for a company that rents out sustainable tiny houses. There, I learned a lot about modern off-grid living and hospitality management.
Additionally, I am a passionate photographer with a special interest in aesthetics and minimalism.

Pedagogy: I spent several years working as a teacher at a primary school with refugee children.
Photography & Journalism: I worked for many years as a photojournalist for newspapers and international agencies, so I have skills in both photography and video production.
Business Communication: Through my studies in business communication, I gained a lot of knowledge in marketing and social media.
Commercial Film Production: I worked for several years in commercial film production, where I learned to manage large projects.
Hospitality: To learn about the hospitality industry, I worked as an operations manager for a company that rents out vacation off grid cabins in nature.
Cooking: I cook a lot and enjoy it.
Craftsmanship: Last year, my friends and I bought a property with a house in the outskirts of Berlin, which we are currently renovating together. I realized how much I enjoy working with my hands and creating something. I'm particularly interested in learning more about wood and clay construction.
