Hiya! I’m Ruby, a smiley and sunny person from the seaside town of Brighton, UK.
I have dreamt of visiting Japan for a long time and I am so excited to witness the breathtaking nature, meet amazing people, learn the language, culture and history, eat amazing food and see lots of art!
I will be visiting for 2 months on my way back to the UK, after living in Australia on the West coast and in Sydney.
I am a very curious person and open-minded to learning about different ways of living and building connections with others. I enjoy deep conversations about everything from music and art to society, philosophy and science.
I will bring a sociable and positive attitude, strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn new skills. I can be very independent and get on with the job at hand, as well as work well within a team.
My Workaway adventures have taken me to rural Cambodia, German lakes and Sicilian volcanos, and I’ve loved every moment doing hard manual labour, teaching English, cooking local food and household chores.
Hobbies include anything sea related (swimming, surfing, hanging out at the beach), travelling, cooking and eating good food with friends and family, art, films, music and literature.
