Description
Hey, my name is Pia. This year (2018), I graduated from high school and now I plan on traveling the world for a couple of months.
I grew up and live in Berlin, and even though I really love this diverse and colorful city, I feel a strong desire to spend more time in nature, to be able to see the stars and find a place where the noise of civilization is reduced to a minimum.
I would describe myself as an open-minded person, positive, always curious and responsible. Sometimes I'm very calm, sometimes very active. Some examples of what I love to do are spending time in nature, walking, hiking, cooking, getting lost in a new city, laughing, meeting people, reading, doing sports.
This summer I spent three weeks doing a vision quest in the Italian Alps. There, I experienced a well-balanced community life for the first time and loved it! This experience was fantastic and kindled my passion for traveling and experiencing a deep connection to the beautiful people and nature that surrounds me!
I would love to learn new skills, meet new people, leave the comfort zone and go with whatever life gives me.
I'm a sunshine-lover and very interested in a healthy, sustainable lifestyle and personal growth as well as yoga, meditation, philosophy, and ecology. I really believe in love, kindness and in the power of now.
I've been vegetarian for many years and, growing more aware of myself and the world around me, I've become vegan a year ago. This change in lifestyle has many different reasons but is mainly because of my impact on the environment and my aim to live as respectfully of all beings in nature as I can.

I have experience working with other volunteers in different projects such as gardening, harvesting, constructing the infrastructure of an environmental- friendly camp (building solar showers, dry toilets and setting up workshop tents) and vegan cooking due to two workcamps (short-term volunteering) I participated in. I love woodworking and would love to improve my skills there.
I am ready and willing to work hard and learn any skills that may be required of me :)
