Description

Seeing new places in a slow way is what brings me joy. I like to have time when I travel. Time enough to meet people, to understand new ways of doing things, to learn new ways to look at life. Time enough to hopefully find new friends and happy vibes!
I have a profound love for music, nature, sunlight and the joys of good company. A day at the lake is a day truly lived. I love playing with the band or by myself or jamming with other musicians.
I've learned many things in my life and I am glad to know there are many more things to learn. Change is important for me; I enjoy not doing the same thing over and over again.
I usually travel with my son who is four years old. He is always asking me when we will leave again for a trip, so here we go!
Because of my son, we especially like to find places with other children.

More details about my language interests
I love languages... especially my mother tongue German, and I enjoy teaching it. There is so much to discover once you realise every word comes from somewhere and carries a whole history inside it! I've lived in Holland for many years and speak the language at almost native level; same with English. Glad to share what I know. I also enjoy picking up new languages, so an exchange would be very welcome.

I can play music to cheer you up when you are sad, or make you sad if you feel you are too cheerful. Or even better, we could play music together!
I can cook tasty vegan food if you are hungry.
I am reasonably good with plants, especially if they are outdoors. I like gardening and the like.
Languages come easy to me, so if you'd like to brush up on your German, English, Spanish or Dutch, I'd be happy to help.
Though I know next to nothing about building, I am eager to learn and pick up things easily.
I have a son of 4 and we do lots of fun stuff together, so I guess I could do that with more children too! I don't mind child minding. I find they mind themselves very well if they've got good company.
I am good at writing texts. If you need help with brochures, books, the like, I am sure I can support you. Or if you like writing poems.
I enjoy talking to people or showing them around, so most jobs and tasks where you deal with people are fine.
I get along with most animals, especially friendly ones.
I should probably mentioned that I have not chopped firewood in 20 years. But that was for lack of opportunity.

What else ...

I love swimming in lakes, and going for walks, and drinking coffee or mate. And going to the sauna. It's great to sweat.

Occasionally, I play computer games (mostly strategy). I love DnD (Dungeons and Dragons, a fantasy game where you improvise most of the story on the spot.

A new interest of mine is meditation, which for me, at the moment, simply means sitting around with my eyes closed and letting all thoughts go.
