Teaching EnglishDescription
I'm originally from the UK and am taking some time out from working as a teacher in London to explore and travel around Central and South America as further means to improve my Spanish (and to get a bit more head space!).
I love learning about different cultures and am really interested in education - so much so, I have a Master's in Education and International Development. Here, I focused on education issues affecting low-middle income countries and specialised in systemic racism.
I have worked in the education sector for 9 years in the UK. I have worked as a primary school teacher and then, more recently, as literacy lead for an inner London school. Here, I created a curriculum to suit the school's most vulnerable learners.
I have experience training up teachers and tutors.
I have a CELTA qualification for teaching English as a foreign language and have experience teaching both children and adults.
I also have experience working with children for a charity in Cusco, Peru.
I love to practise Yoga in my free down and settle down with a good book. My undergraduate degree was in Art History so you'll often find me exploring the latest art exhibitions. You can also see from my photos that I love being outdoors and enjoy hiking!Interests
