  • Description

Hey! My name is Peter Oldcorn. I am 24 years of age. I was born in the UK before moving to live in Tamil Nadu, South India at the age of 8 to 18 before moving to the U.K for university. There I completed my undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, and my Masters Degree in Wildlife Conservation. I lived in the UK for 5 years before moving to live in the Western Sahara for 6 months, working as a Wildlife Tour Guide, and then back to the UK for 6 months, working as an Ecologistm. I am now travelling through Indonesia for the next four months, with Laos as my next destination. I'm super interested in nature and conservation, and a big fan of the outdoors. I've always had a love for travelling and exploring new places and different cultures. My hobbies include running, cooking, hiking, kayaking, wild swimming, cycling, tennis, nature and the overall environment, and reading. Also really into playing board and card games and simply sitting around a bonfire and having a good chat.

I've worked a number of jobs such as waitering, sports training, bartending, teaching children and language training, barista work, gardening cleaning, along with lots of other customer facing roles. My workaway experience includes gardening and tree planting, working at a beach bar, and taking care of dogs, and helping a lady prepare her yoga workshop.

As an absolute nature lover and keen wildlife-watcher, I would also thoroughly enjoy working with animals or getting some conservation or environmental work experience. I am really enthusiastic about animal welfare, as well as sustainability and eco-friendly living. Would also love to do some charity work and help in any way can with the local community.

I am a friendly and charismatic individual looking to develop my skills, meet new people and experience different lifestyles! I am positive, hard-working and flexible -love meeting new people as well as learning about other cultures! Am really enjoying my time in Indonesia so far!
