Hi there😄! This is my profile... I am María!

I'm a 33 years old Spanish girl who can not wait . I am really respectful (respect and emphaty are two of my favourite values) and I love clear communication. I am also trustworthy, very responsible and hardworking, and I love the challenge. I like going out of my comfort zone trying new stuff from time to time, to keep my soul awake.

Traveling means to me much more than visiting new places. It's a way of personal growth, sharing experiences and knockledge, being in touch with different cultures, people, families, projects, communities... My first long trip was in 2013. I was volunteering in the human settlements of Piura (Peru), providing spaces where the children can play, to avoid them having to work in the market with their families. Since that experience, voluntaring for me, is a really importat issue. I was also volunteering in Argelia, with the Saharaoui refugees in Tindouf camp. This experience was awesome.

After that, my Scout life started. I have been voluntering in a Spanish Scout Group for more than 8 years. Following the ideal of "try to leave this world a little better than you found it". I have worked with differente range ages: from 5 to more than 25 years old, during that time. Scouting make me realize that I am always trying to build a better version of myself.

Also about myself, I am a earlychildhood teacher, I have worked in a few nursery schools and bilingual schools. Children education is my passion, learning process is amazing.

Just to know more about me, I am a really active person, I practice aerial silks, aerial hoop and some more circus skills. I love sports and handcrafts, also cactus 🌵 and animals (I am a cat lover, I have to say it😻). I enjoy nature a lot, hikking, climbing, camping... outdoors in general.

I finished my degree in Early Childhood Education in 2013, after that I also studied two Masters: special educacion needs and bilingual education. Since then, I was working in some Nursery Schools as a English assistant. I worked with childreen between 0 and 3 years old, English Early adquisition. After that, I was working as an English Teacher with children between 3 and 5 years old in a school. I also worked as a private teacher in some cases of special needs and teenager with English difficulties.

I was working as a leisure instructor since I get the licence in 2009, I really enjoy teaching through games and share hapiness and good moments on this way. I had the great opportunity to share projects of socio-cultural entertainment with Girls Scout Group in the USA and human settlements of Peru and Argelia. It was an incredible experience! Also in my Scout group with childreen between 5 and 21 years old, playing is for every body, not just for the littlest.

I was the manager of a leisure park for two years, and I have been the manager coordinator of my Scout group for 8 years. I love leading teams of people, making the communication the best way to build together.

I have already said some skill that I am good at, but I also have to say that I am interested in many other stuff, and always open to try new things. Gardering, construction, animal care... I would love to start on those fields.
