  • More details about your skills

    Paulina:
    - In Chile I got my degree in Business and managment, then I did a master in economics, after that I applied my studies in non traditional business: I worked in the admin area of an environmental start-up, which provided AI technology to farmers of different regions, so they can cultivate more easily and enviromental friendly. I also worked in the sales department of a NGO that recycles different types of materials, and I worked in an animal sanctuary in Tenerife, in the fundraising area.
    - I also have formal training and experience as a Teacher, I teach math and sustanability classes in a small community back in Chile to teenagers, and I teach english lessons in Tenerife to young kids.
    - I have a lot of experience in permacultural projects, I use workaway individually since 2021, so I have basic knowledge in gardening, growing veggies, eco-building, animal welfare, and others. I've lived in big and small comunities of people, the biggest was in tenerife, around 40 people working all together for taking care of more than 400 animals, I feel comfortable living in comunities and appreciate that type of lifestyle.
-I have experiece living in alternative and sustainable ways, applyng circular economie in a daily basis.

    Simon
    - I used to work as a social worker with kids and teenagers back in Germany before starting my travels.
-Through individual workaway experiences i gained a lot of skills in various construction works. I've gained a lot of knowledge in tiling and mosaicing and can do concrete works including building walls with natural stone, Simple woodworking tasks are also no problem for me and i have some very basic knowledge in plumbing. I have some knowledge and ideas about ecological and alternative systems such as compost toileting or heating water with manure.
    - I have lived in a big community of around 40 people and managed the kitchen with other volunteers. We were in charge of cooking breakfast and lunch for all volunteers and since it was mostly recycled food we had to be creative in our planning and cooking.
    - I love working with animals and was part of a team of volunteers taking care of around 400 small animals, which included cleaning and feeding and taking care of their wellbeing.
