Hello! I’m Patrick, aged 26 and from England. At the moment I’m travelling South America solo, working my way down from Peru. I love meeting new people and experiencing new things, and I’m keen to volunteer during this trip.

I have past experience volunteering teaching english, helping out in a charity shop, and doing manual labour outdoors. I’ve also worked in a variety of jobs, from waiting tables, to bar work, to desk jobs. I’m open to any volunteering opportunity if it seems like a good fit - look forward to meeting you! Patrick

More details about my language interests
I am trying to learn Spanish as I travel, I have done a few courses, and the most recent being a 2 week Spanish school in Sucre, Bolivia. I would definitely be interested in learning more as I love the process of learning a new language (or any skill for that matter). In the same way I love the process of teaching others a skill, and have some experience teaching English online to adults. I also have completed a ‘Teaching English as a Foreign Language’ certification, and would be interested in putting it to use.

I have worked in a variety of jobs and volunteer roles in the past.

Jobs include: bar work, waiting tables, back of house manager within a top restaurant, four years of full time work in advertising (writing ad copy, sales, customer relations).

Volunteer experience includes: teaching English online (I have a TEFL certification), charity shop work, manual labour outside (e.g. planting flowers, putting up fences etc.)

I love football, playing it, but mainly watching it! I also like watching most other sports, and love outdoor activities such as hiking or climbing. I am a fan of most card games and board games - once I get my head around the rules… and also love to read.
