Hi, I'm Owen. I'm 25 years old, originally from Wales currently living and working in New Zealand.

I have experience working in construction and conservation and am not shy of a hard days work. In previous workaways I've enjoyed living the off-grid and sustainable lifestyle where daily tasks have included tree work, gardening, landscaping, cutting firewood, general DIY and tending animals (horses, goats, dogs).

I'm an easy-going, open-minded guy who finds pleasure and peace in a simple life. It's always exciting to meet interesting new people and make new friends. I'm also quite comfortable in my own company and value my personal space; I find no difficulty in entertaining myself through reading, writing, exercising or staring into the middle-distance.

I love to explore the world and deepen my understanding of cultures, history and myself. I came to New Zealand via the scenic route (India, Thailand and Australia).

I enjoyed this workaway very much. I felt comfortable around Sophie from the get go and felt right at home in the caravan. The work varied from day to day and was never too strenuous with going down the beach being the priority when the sun was out. I had a good time here and would definitely recommend.
