My name is Opal, I am a farmer currently living on the North Shore of Hawaii, where I work with and volunteer on various farms. I have 3+ years of experience working in sustainable agriculture. I have developed a comprehensive understanding of sustainable land practices, particularly in agroforestry and permaculture. My experience working with various farms and nonprofits has equipped me with the ability to design and establish multifunctional systems that promote both environmental and economic benefits.
I am interested in traveling and exploring environmentally minded farms, and I would love the opportunity to learn more and developed new skills.
Aside from farming, I love all activities pertaining to the outdoors, including hiking, snorkeling and camping. I am originally from California, USA but have been living in Hawaii the last 5 years. I look forward to branching out and connecting with more sustainable communities in hopes of building friendships and experiences. I have a love for life and a passion to serve others.
