Kia Ora!

My name is Olli and I just arrived (30th of October) in New Zealand. I have never been here before and are ready for a new adventure! I have a masters degree in media computer science - a field that elegantly combines my interest in technology with design, art and psychology.

I would describe myself as a calm, conscious, energetic, loving and easy going person with an open heart and mind. I love to meditate - doing for 6 years daily now -, do yoga, cook, draw, giving massage (I just recently received my certificate in Thai Massage), create animation videos and so much more.

I'm looking for a job woofing for up to 20 hours a week, ideally somewhere in nature with the opportunity for outdoor activities and access to supermarkets where I can have my own room with internet access. As for industry, I am open minded but ideally something related to nature or people. I love gardening, enjoy looking after children and animals, am talented with my hands (not only on my laptop:), good at cleaning and communicating and have an eye for detail to get any job done to my and everyone else's satisfaction.

I mean, I'd say I'm pretty much fluent in English, but having a native speaker to improve it further by going into details would be wonderful. My mum is from Ukraine, so I have basic Russian language knowlegde and I can speak a bit, but it could be better :)

During my semester holidays, I worked in various industrial jobs, worked in a tree nursery and worked in a facility for mentally and physically impaired people. As I come from the countryside, I have a great connection to nature and animals and have already worked on various craft projects. My father is a passionate handyman who has taught me a lot. I developed my passion for gardening from my grandmother from an early age and have maintained it by cultivating my own garden ever since. Due to the fact that my professional field in IT challenges my manual skills in a different way, I am happy to get my hands dirty, be physically active and lend a hand in various activities.
