Hi, I'm Olinda, I'm 56 and I live in a small tourist town overlooking the Adriatic Sea in Italy. I'm very motivated to have this experience because I've always loved traveling and meeting other people and cultures. I love kitesurfing and I'd like to share this passion even in my travels. At the same time I would like to improve my English and help other people to learn it as well as Italian. I am an expert in hospitality in hotels and I have also worked in bars and bathing establishments; but also other types of jobs especially at outdoors excite me. Basically I am also a person who adapts and interested in learning new jobs; since I am a very practical person, I am also enthusiastic about manual work. I also love playing sports because it keeps me vital.I have a wonderful dog who lives with me and my 25 year old daughter.

My stay at the sanctuary was fantastic! Despite my lack of experience with cats. But thanks to the hospitality and understanding of Linda and Curt as well as that of all the other volunteers I met I was able to spend 2 wonderful months! I learned so much from this experience and I hope to be able to return!!!

Olinda was an entertaining volunteer. She loved to wind-surf and inspired others to get to the beach every day. She was always cheerful and worked hard. The cats at times were intimidating, which did not stop her from caring for them. We welcome her and her daughter back next year!
