Edit: I am currently looking for volunteering opportunities in Italy. I would love to try new volunteering experiences - especially elderly companionship - but I am open to do things I have done and enjoyed before, such as volunteering in youth hostels, in families or in the countryside, helping with animals and outdoor jobs.

Hello, my name is Nora and I'm a 31 years old French woman! I really enjoy discovering new countries and cultures and getting to meet new people.

I have done volunteering for a couple of years - through the platforms HelpX, workaway and worldpackers. I did babysitting, outdoor tasks in the countryside (like olive picking) and also volunteered in B&B and youth hostels, mainly in Italy. Apart from traveling, I read and write a lot - writing is my favorite occupation and it's more than a mere hobby to me, my dream is to become a professional writer one day. I've had various jobs abroad, mainly in the associative world.

I can help teach my native language, which is French. I also speak fluently English, Spanish and Italian. I know a little bit of Arabic, as I've studied it at the university and lived in Egypt for a year.

More details about my language interests
My main linguistic goal right now is to become completely fluent in Italian. I can understand it and I don't have difficulties to have proper conversations, as long as people don't talk too fast. I can help teach my mothertongue, which is French, as well as English. I have some experience teaching languages, as I used to teach French and English to refugees as a volunteer in an emergency shelter. I also was a French Language Assistant in two high-schools in Calabria, Italy.

To sum it up, as I sometimes have trouble being concise :)
As a volunteer, I have experience working at youth hostels and B&B, also teaching languages to kids and helping in the countryside (pruning, gardening, taking care of the animals and such)
I did different jobs in different countries, and have administrative and writing skills, in French and English. I can help with promotion on social medias.


I was a Helper twice for the same family in Scotland, in a Bed&Breakfast. I took care of a nine year old girl, cleaned the rooms, greeted the guests and helped making the breakfasts. I also have work experience, as summer jobs, in a Bed&Breakfast in Ireland, where I was a waitress.

More recently, I was a Helper in Sicily for a month. I learnt a lot of new things: pruning the olive trees, weeding the garden, feeding bees, bottling wine... I also took care of the animals and helped in the house.

I did a volunteering in Genova, at a youth hostel (you can see the review they left me on my profile) I did morning, midday and night Shift, doing mainly reception and cleaning. I did the same thing at another youth hostel in Palermo. I also taught French and English to two kids in Palermo (you can see the review on my profile)

I also have profesional experience in the administration field, and can help with promoting content on social media or websites. I have good writing skills in French and English.
