  • Description

    Hello everybody,

my name is Niklas, I'm a 30 year old German guy.

Thanks for saying hello on my page.

My journey begins in 2012, when I first visited New Zealand. I was on a whv and travelled across both Islands.
After a challenging time in Germany, I decided that I have to make a change, getting out of my comfort zone and go back to the country I felt in love with. ....so here I am. :)

I grew up in a lovely little village, far away from the bigger cities, with a close community and people I'll never wanna miss in my entire life.
We always had animals(dogs, cats, chickens, cattle) around. But when my grandpa got too old, we had to the sell the animals except of our dogs and cats. My family could never live without our small family members(Eddie und Bella). You'll find photos of them attached.

I grew also up with all the old Jackie Chan movies, which, when I think about it now, are my first experience to film.
I got stuck to it and over the years it became my passion. Therefore I made the decision to go and study film.
I love everything about it. My favorites are Forrest Gump and the lord of the rings. At this point, I don't think I have to explain, that my fable for lotr helped going to NZ.
I finished studying in 2021 and went afterwards to one of the media cities in Germany(cologne) and worked for over a year in the film industry in different departments.
And at the same time, I was also working for a German TV channel as a news operator in the production control room.

I'm interested in soccer, which I'm playing already for over 25 years, hiking, swimming, running, cycling, filming, video editing, photography, writing (atm mostly poetry), reading, DIY, sustainability, cooking, meditation, sharing and a lot more that I probably don't know yet.
I enjoy getting myself into new adventures and challenges, where I can learn more about life, myself and my environment.

I'm also kind of a foodie(vegetarian). Right now I try to find the best blueberry muffin ever made. So if you think you found already the best or even close to it, please let me know. I'll definitely check this place out.

Sometimes I'm quite introvert, but I prefer to be part of a community.
I love Charlie Chaplins words "A day without laughter is a day wasted."
Helping people and animals, has become one of my passion. Seeing a smile is one of the most beautiful thing in the world and its more worth than any money.
That's why I started working for a few volunteer organizations in Wellington.

Feel free to leave me a message. I would love to get to know more about you and maybe travel together for a while.

Smile and have a wonderful day.

  • More details about your skills

I always want to complete my tasks, by reaching a high standard. For me it's not about getting things done, it's more about making you happy, which makes me feel a lot better.

As I grew up on a farm, I know hard work including feeding animals, harvesting, fencing, gardening, chopping and a lot more.

I got also experience in carpenter work and woodwork in general. I have been working over years for a company that deals with water damage and it's fixing.
Beside that, I enjoy working on DIY stuff like building my own furniture out of pallets.

Learning is a big part of life and I'm more than happy to do work I have never done before. It dosen't matter whether it's hard work or finding a needle in a haystack.
Also health care, disability work or working with children is something I'm interested in.
While my study, I spent time 4 hours a week with two kids playing and jumping around. And from time to time helping them with their homework.

At the first time in New Zealand, I had the opportunity to work on a dairy farm in France Josef, do pruning in Te Puke and help a farmer with his sheep on the North Island(unfortunately I forgot the name of the place).

I prefer to be outside, but this doesn't need to be.
