Hi, I'm Niklas a young traveler from South Germany. I grew up in a little City called Bad Krozingen with my parents and my older brother, where I went to school (finished in 2023 with my Abitur/High School Diploma) and spent most of my freetime. Because I spent most of my time in my city, I always enjoyed our family camping vacations to new Countries and loved to discover my new Surroundings and make new friends at those places! That's why I decided to spend six months (March 24 to August 24) traveling across Canada to live out my joy of discovering new places and meeting new people.

In my Hometown I was a Karate Instructor, where I trained children from the age of 6 to 12 (I´m in Karate since the age of 6 myself) and also I´m a youth group leader at the local church, where me and a few other teenagers/young adults (all between the age of 16 and 20) organise monthly group activities and an annual summer camp, where we spent 10 days with 30 or more children and plan little games, workshops and other activities for the kids. Trough those Hobbies I discoverd and grew my passion for youth work and working with children. I try to be a good role model for younger people and I like to surround myself with people who have a similar motivation in youth work as I do and are as open minded as I am.

Another passion of mine is being handy and doing DIY Projects. Especially working with wood and similar materials is a lot of fun for me and I also like to make use of a few sewing basics in my projects. I´m always open to learn new things and I have no problem with getting my Hands a little dirty or using my muscles for these projects.

For my parents it was always important that I can get around the house myself and that I can be responsible for myself. Through that I learnd to cook/bake (I'll be happy to show you a few German dishes - if we can find the right ingredients here in Canada ;) ).

Back in school I tutored maths, physics and computer since and taught them up to 11th grade in Germany and I would consider myself capable of theahing them aswell here in English. :)

I can be a good help with DIY Projects and renovations and
can catch up quick if new skills are required for such projects. I can also lend a good Hand when it comes to Computers and in general Electronical Devices, as I am aming to study computer since after my time here in Canada.

Here are just a few more of my interests and random facts about myself, maybe we have something in common or maybe we pursue very different kind of things and could exchange some of our interest to one another :)
I can get really nerdy about things like Star Wars, Mavel and Movies/Series in general - so I always enjoy a good recommendation about what to watch next! I also enjoy little Puzzle Games like doing a Rubik's Cube to challenge my mind a bit or playing board games, so I would be down for a family game night or just a quick round of playing cards. I like Ice skating and rollerblading and play a funny sport called Underwater Hockey :)
