Hi! I'm Nathanael, 19, from England. I am currently an apprentice and part-time student studying for a degree in aerospace engineering at university. My goal with WorkAway is to experience many different cultures and learn whilst working abroad!

I am interested in volunteering and offering my assistance to a family. I'm particularly keen on helping around the house and garden, where I can contribute through cooking, DIY projects, gardening and language skills. I embrace every experience with enthusiasm and approach my stay with passion and responsibility.

My native language is English, and my French is also quite good, having already lived in France for four years. I am currently learning German by myself, and would love to get language practise!

Some things that interest me are music, aviation, cooking local dishes and cycling. I have been playing piano for 10 years now, and would love to share my knowledge!

I've come to learn that there is more than one way to live and be fulfilled in our lives. After a brief period of travelling purely for its own sake, I wanted a more meaningful experience. During my time abroad, I shifted my focus to volunteering and sharing cultural experiences, creating a deeper connection with the places I visited, beyond a being a tourist passing by.

I am currently studying engineering in university, and have experience with renovation projects, enhancing my skills in carpentry, decoration and metal-work. I also spend lots of time outdoors, where I am well-versed in general garden maintenance. Furthermore, I love cooking, and am more than willing to share my skills.

I have experience teaching and tutoring, and am able to help with languages, IT and mathematics.

My first experience with Workaway was Germany, where I had the opportunity to experience the rich Bavarian cultural heritage and stunning landscapes of the Alps, whilst working on restoration and maintenance projects with an Orgelbau!

I am currently working towards a driving license, and should have one by summer 2024!
