Activities i am interested in:
I'm currently located in Boston, and I'm looking for new learning experiences, in which I can help a family, community, and/or animals with whatever is needed.
My next destination:
United States - from Aug 2024 until Aug 2025 View allDescription
Hello, my name is Sharona! I'm new to Workaway and extremely excited to be part of this community :)
Generally speaking, I'm a laid back, fun loving person who is always down to meet new people, socialize, and learn about new cultures. I'm very interested in seeing the middle/west portion of the US, including but not limited to: Arkansas, Iowa, Arizona, and Montana.
My Story:
I recently moved back to the Boston area after living in Tel Aviv, Israel for the last 9 years. I have always loved helping people, spreading my knowledge, going new places and trying new things, but I recently became very passionate about volunteer travel, ever since I volunteered teaching English to kids in Nepal last year. It was so rewarding, that I decided this new method of travel would be a regular part of my lifestyle!
Now that I'm back in the States where my English skills are no longer needed, I am focused on learning more about farming, sustainable living, taking care of all kinds of animals, working outside, building things out of unconventional (or conventional) materials, landscaping, crafting, etc (pretty much down for whatever).
My knowledge of these things is limited, but I am young, healthy, and able! I love working hard and being as useful as possible when it makes a positive impact. I grew up playing soccer and basketball and I exercise semi-regularly, so I swear, I'm stronger than I look in my sundress...I'm open to a variety of different job types, as I learn very quickly, smile often, and have the epitome of a "can do" attitude :)
Since I was abroad in the better part of my 20s, I have mostly traveled to other countries, but I havent been able to explore my very own country, and all of it's beauty! Craziness! There is plenty of culture and learning to be had here, and now I want to see what the rest of America has to offer :)Interests

What else ...
In terms of hobbies, I like to watch sports, especially football and hockey. I am a social butterfly and am constantly out and about. I love all types of games, from board games, puzzles, card games to physical outdoor games and amusement parks. I spend a lot of time doing various crafts, but mostly coloring mandalas, and painting them on frames and canvases.
I'm interested in astrology, but won't talk your head off about it (unless you ask or like talking about it too!) I love being in nature and interacting with animals (apart from snakes - eek!). I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and am always down for a road trip or other adventure. Some more information
