Hi there, Namaste.
I'm Mushky and I'm very ecxited to be part of this amazing work exchange program. A little about me, I'm from Brooklyn, NY and came to Asia to live a more mindful life.
I have a degree in Psychology, which has given me a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and fostering growth. My work is in the field of social work. I’ve facilitated mindfulness and inner child healing support groups, helping individuals connect with themselves and others. My role was both to create therapeutic groups as well as be a listening ear, supporting those battling homelessness and mental health challenges. I find my work very rewarding and love to be involved in service roles as well as be involved in community building. I also have experience tutoring English, which I did during a trip to Guatemala, where I learned to adapt to cross-cultural learning environments.
Additionally, I’ve volunteered at soup kitchens in New York, helping deliver food to the homeless and helping provide food and social support to battered women.
I have helped a bit with gardening projects at various homestays in Thailand and Nepal. These experiences have taught me the value of community, service, and working with the land. I am very passionate about permaculture, education, and creative tasks, and love to be of service. In my free time I love to write poetry and read about the latest developments in psychology. I also love to hike, and I'm highly attuned to nature. I’m looking forward in joining you on your next project.
