Currently traveling on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. I am seeking workaways and/or housesitting opportunities in BC at the moment but would consider other opportunities if the fit is right.

Hello! Im Garey. I'm friendly, intelligent, hard-working and nature loving. I'm making a shift in life to spend my time and energies on things that are truly important to me. I have the ability to create wherever I am, so I am not restricted by regular work schedules allowing me to explore workaway and house/pet sitting opportunities. Happiness for me comes from great relationships with family, being outside in nature, traveling, expanding my knowledge and experiences, and exploring and being amazed by the natural world around us. All while meeting some great people along the way.
I love music (listening) and am most at peace in nature. I care deeply about our planet and enjoy hiking and exploring new places, especially if wildlife is involved (marine mammals being a particular love of mine.) I travel with my faithful dog "Rosie", a wonderfully friendly, well behaved, non-shedding medium sized Mini Bernadoodle who is my co-pilot on my adventures. She gets along well with everyone. Other dogs, cats, children, and people in general.
I have a wide range of experience acquired through life to this point. I have been a small business owner, broadcast journalist, writer, and have extensive management and customer service experience. I also have experience with housesitting, property and/or pet care, landscaping, marketing, and keeping a well functioning home. I am very comfortable in situations where I am left to my own devices. Comfortable in my own skin so to speak.

Over our years we have gained knowledge and experience in a variety of areas. Between us we have skills related to home and property maintenance including yard care, garden work and any outdoor tasks. We are not afraid of getting our hands dirty. We love animals and are open to opportunities to work with, or around them. We have extensive experience in customer service, and guest/client relations. With a little instruction we are both eager to learn any practices and tasks you need. We work very well independently so we don't need to be constantly managed or worried about, as long as expectations are clear.
Lana is a massage therapist and practices incredible healing modalities.

We also bring a wealth of real world experience ranging from child and animal care to retail and business ownership and so much more. Always looking to expand our knowledge and experience base.

We travel with our very friendly, non-shedding, hypoallergenic medium sized dog "Rosie." Rosie is well trained, non-aggressive, loves everyone and everything, and is a seasoned traveler so adapts well as long as the rest of her "pack" are with her.
