Description
Hi everyone!
My name is Marika (a name that makes most Spanish speakers laugh), I'm 31 years old and homebased in rural Belgium.
I'm a curious person who wishes she had 3 lifetimes to learn all knowledge life has to offer. Learning in general really brings me happiness.
What keeps me occupied most of the time is experimenting with whittling, carving, painting (yay Bob Ross tutorials!), going to concerts, making cookies and dessert, reading (mainly fantasy and distopian), trying to build a routine of meditation and breathing, scrolling endlessly on Instagram, listening to podcasts about mental health, play boardgames, hang out with friends and their animals, ...
It would be fair to say that I've been doing some soulsearching and I really want to expand my horizon, I'm always looking for more ways to contribute to society.
Connection is one of my core values and I think it's essential to get to know yourself through the lens other people provide.Interests

More details about your skills
I grew up in a bakery and although eating sweets does not count as a skill, growing up in such environment did teach me a lot about efficiency and working hard.
Generally speaking I'm quite good with organising and planning things. I actually enjoy cleaning up, throwing stuff away and labeling.
Furthermore I'm a fast learner and have picked up the basics of quite some languages. I am fluent in Dutch, English & French mostly, but I can handle myself in Spanish, Italian and some German too. I'm always open to further hone my skills by having a conversation in another language and laugh our asses off!
Last couple of years I've been a teacher in a general course, trying to combine multiple subjects in a project so multifaceted learning could take place.
Cooking, cleaning, small household tasks, taking care of animals and plants (I have loads of them myself), ... .
I am no stranger to working with (electrical) tools but would not describe myself as an expert.
I have built my own small wardrobe and some ornaments for my house, but youtube definitely helped me.
I feel like my 'skill' mostly lies in the catalyzing effect that I'm able to have on people around me, or so I have been told.
For example:
I am not afraid to talk to strangers, I am not afraid to stand firmly on what I believe in, I am not afraid to listen with an open heart and be vulnerable, I am not afraid to fail and I really do try hard to find a lesson in everything, so I can continue to grow. I am not afraid to take a hard look at myself and see when I was wrong. I like to have a deep conversation but at the same time laugh a lot.Age
