Hello potential hosts! We are Sam and Monika, an outgoing couple of recent graduates from Scotland with a thirst for adventure and travelling the world. We love all things nature, animals, and hiking; looking to explore the world, meet new people from different countries, while learning all about each place’s respective cultures, traditions, and new ways of life. We are happiest when in an unknown place, enjoying the pleasures of learning from the locals, broadening our horizons, and becoming better people in the process.
Monika just graduated with a master’s degree in international business with Spanish & marketing, while Sam got his bachelor’s degree with Honours in International business & marketing. Together we make a great team for all tasks related to communication, whether that be during language exchanges, or formulating marketing strategies for businesses. With our easy-going and can-do attitudes, we never back down from a challenge, always looking to learn.

We both possess high communication skills, having graduated from a communications-based degree, as well as having undertaken extracurricular activities across the years which heavily rely on excellent communication. For example, we have been a part of the university volleyball club 2019-2024, actively taking part in games, both recreationally and competitively, which requires seamless communication with team mates to assure success. Additionally, with Monika’s love for languages, the scope of communication can be broadened greatly, as she can communicate fluently (both written and spoken), in Polish (Native), English (Native), and Spanish (C1).
We have experience looking after animals, especially dogs as we have both grown up with dogs in our households. Additionally, Monika would take on extracurricular activities with animal care at her horse-riding school in Poland since she was 14 years old, looking after farm dogs, cats, sheep, goats, and horses; ensuring that the animals were clean, fed, walked, had access to clean drinking water and shade, as well as had clean environments in their shelters, such as the stables.
We also have experience in leading a group, including teaching children and young adults. Monika was a language ambassador in high school, volunteering to lead Spanish classes with younger students. She led class discussions and helped the students complete various tasks during classes, assisting and guiding them where necessary. Monika also took part in Girl’s Brigade, and volunteered as a ‘Brigader’ (senior member) of the church, looking after the youngest age group, the ‘explorers’ aged 4-7, organising both activities such as arts and crafts and physical activity games for the girls to take part in.
We have experience using software such as Canva for basic graphic design, in addition to social media management, content creation and post scheduling. We have an understanding of the core marketing principles and have experience building marketing strategies for real companies, such as Menabrea; for who we had to create a brand plan and marketing strategy and tactics for FY2025. Additionally, we have both have had several start-up clients, where we managed their social media profiles across Facebook, Instagram & TikTok.
Sam has extensive knowledge of sales, having worked in the area in both B2B and B2C. If you need help with increase your sales -whether it be brainstorming methods to increase profits, cold calling, or meeting with prospective clients, Sam can help you with that.
Additionally, Monika and Sam are able to help around the house, having painted the walls in his own house and done some gardening. Monika is also a fantastic cook!
