Currently at home in Dublin, Ireland looking for a destination
Description
I am a friendly and enthusiastic recent Sociology graduate looking to learn new skills and exchange culture with other like-minded people!
I am taking a year out between my studies to explore the world through new perspectives! I absolutely love learning, both in and outside the traditional scholastic method, and am excited to embark on my Master's programme in Social and Cultural Anthropology next year!
I love to travel, and so far have only done so in a touristic or educational capacity, which is why I signed up to workaway in order to travel in a new and more authentic and social way. My hopes for this journey are to learn skills, especially in the realm of gardening, DIY, and self-sufficient eco-focused construction. These are areas I have little experience in so far in the city of Dublin, Ireland :). I would also love to learn another language, especially Arabic as I have been taking casual lessons for the past month at home and would love to improve my spoken (and maybe even written) proficiency! Aside from this I have a bit of German from school days!
What I bring to the table: I have a background in art and love to explore new creative practices, I also truly enjoy cooking nutritious vegan food for groups (I have a lot of experience in this), I love to laugh and focus on the positive things in life while being mindful of the needs of others, I practice yoga and enjoy getting outside and exercising with other people. I have a lot of experience over the years with childcare for children ages 5-12. This is something I am happy to provide a bit of help with but not exactly what I'm looking for at the moment.
Another skill/passion of mine is photography - but with film (so retro hehehe). Let me know if you would like me to bring my camera and we can take some nice shots!
From my experience in community work over the years I am pretty understanding of the needs of others - we're all different at the end of the day and I think more awareness of that helps everyone get along better!
Also - I selected the smoker option because I do enjoy a few cigarettes :') but if this is an absolute NO for you we can work around it!Interests

I am really curious to learn Arabic! I have only started recently with a great teacher, but the classes are only weekly and very informal so I would love to be thrown in the deep end so I can improve my conversation quickly!Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn
