Hello, welcome on our profile! :-)
We are Michaela and Vojta - a young couple (27&30) from the Czech Republic.
Our travel story has started in September 2021.Because of covid we had to cancel our wedding plans. And then we decided to travel the world before starting our family life. We quit our jobs (Michaela worked as a teacher and Vojta as a manager of amusement park) and packed our backpacks :-) And honestly? It was the best decision of our lives.
During more than 1.5 year, we've been in England, Spain, Chile, Panama, Philippines, Australia and Bali. Most of the time as Workawayers. Thanks to that we met so many amazing people, learnt new skills and made heaps of unforgettable memories :-)
At this moment we are in NZ (South Island) on our working holiday adventure :-)
We don't have a specific plan or preferred destination. Our goal is to get new experiences and skills, learn about cultures, improve our English and the most important - get new friends :-)
We have a car, so we're happy to stay at remote areas too.

What can we help you with?
Basically anything needed :-D We're excited about trying new stuff.
During our previous stays we learnt a lot. We worked at the reception of hostel, in a restaurant (FOH and kitchen hand), we did gardening, housekeeping, general maintenance, babysitting and childcare (1 month to 7 years old), animal care, wood cutting, painting...
Vojta is really good with tools such as chainsaw, strimmer, hammer, drill and so.
Michaela loves to take care of children :-)

Most of the time we worked in forest by preparing firewood. Also we did some gardening, painting and DIY projects, which was very funny :-). Work is easy, instruction clear and Lalo always cares you don't work too much :-)
