Description
Exploring new things is one of my favorite hobbies, I am a curious woodworker who enjoys learning and getting to know more about the off-grid life! Through workaway I hope to continue working as a woodworker, helping out hosts where I can. Learning more about traditions and the way of living in other parts of the world.

Apart from working I absolutely love hiking, climbing, would looove to learn skiing at some point (and see snowy mountains) and you can always get me excited to sit around a bonfire! It is my long term dream to move off-road at some point :)

I have a college degree in woodworking/furniture making and technical design. Around 5 years experience working on several woodwork and construction projects, but still have plenty more to learn.

I also have a propaedeutic degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, so I have some basic knowledge of things like coding (mainly python) which could be helpful. Definitely prefer working with my hands and spending time in nature though!

Mirthe was an amazing volunteer, she stayed with us for a week and was of great help with our kids, farm and small renovation projects. Her woodwork skills were amazing and she tackled projects that were for months on our waiting lists. We highly recommend her, and we wish her the best in life!

Mirthe is a very humble and modest character. Once you get to know her she really shines! I stayed for only a week in Voditsa, but spending time at Kathy's place was great! I was lucky enough to get to help with one of the most fun parts of the pool project, decorative stone laying and some tricky woodwork. Mirthe was only here for a week but she really contributed to the swimming pool project. She helped with stone laying and I was especially happy that she gave me good suggestions about a tricky little section of the pool. She is very practical and confident about her skills. It's a pity she couldn't stay longer.

Though I only stayed for a few days, meeting Toby and the Mühle community was an amazing experience. Getting to help with some woodworking projects and learning a lot of new skills like clay building was really interesting and fun! Already missing everyone and can't wait to go back one day! :)
