Description
Hi, I’m Merle-Summer, 18 years old and from Germany.
I’d describe myself as a friendly, helpful, open-minded, and flexible person. I’m always up for new experiences, ready to learn, and excited to meet new people. I’ve just finished school and now I’m looking forward to exploring different lifestyles and helping wherever I can.
I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty – I’ve helped with farm and stable work at my grandparents’ place. So I’m quite used to physical work and I really enjoy being active.
Sports are also a big part of my life – I’ve been playing football for over 10 years, I enjoy running, and I’m always up for trying new sports or activities. At the same time, I also enjoy the quiet moments – reading a good book or having meaningful conversations with kind people.
I’d also love to improve my English while staying abroad, and I think the best way to do that is by working and living with locals.
This trip is for me a gapyear after school. I want to see the world and meet new people, get to know new cultures and I want to find myself and develop interests for my working life.

One of the reasons I want to travel and work abroad is to improve my English skills. I already speak English quite well, but I’d love to get more confident in everyday conversations and just use the language more naturally. I think the best way to learn is by living and working with people who speak it every day!

Hey!
I’m from Germany, where I just finished my A levels. My native language is German, but I speak English as well.
I’ve worked in a supermarket before and also enjoy hands-on work. I often helped my dad with painting, renovating, and gardening. I’m also familiar with farm life – my grandparents have a small farm with chickens, ducks, and horses. I really enjoy helping them out from time to time. I’ve learned a bit about riding and handling horses there.
On top of that, I have experience looking after kids – I have a younger brother and lots of younger cousins, so I’m used to being around children.
