Hello! My name is Megan and I am in New Zealand with my partner Alex from October 2024 to March 2025. We are both very passionate about agriculture and sustainability and both worked in these areas before travelling to NZ. We are very excited to explore this beautiful country whilst learning more about the history, local nature and farming. We both love hiking and eating and cooking good food. We have our own vehicle and are keen to gain a range of agricultural and conservation experience whilst we are here.

In the UK we both worked in the agricultural sector. Megan managed a network of demonstration farms and ran sustainability projects supporting farmers. Alex worked as a crop research assistant, focussing on integrated pest management. We both have backgrounds in biology and a strong interest in conservation. We are used to helping out on my brother's farm and are always happy to get out hands dirty and help out with animals, kids, cooking etc. Comfortable working with livestock.

Our two night stay with Leah was everything we wanted from a Workaway experience! We helped out with tasks such as weeding and neatening the borders of her beautiful garden. Megan and Alex are a lovely young couple who stayed with me for two nights and in that short stay completed so much work that I was amazed! We were Megan and Alex's first Workaway and they fitted into the household very well. Hard working and punctual they achieved a raft of jobs in the short time they were here. I would definitely recommend these two to all hosts.
