My name is Mayra, and I'm from Germany, where I just finished school. I want to use the time before starting university to travel and get to know new people, cities, and to have unforgettable experiences. I'm also very open to my future stays through Workaway. Hi there! I’m excited to share a bit about myself and what I bring to the table.
I have a solid foundation in cooking, with a particular interest in vegetarian and sometimes vegan cuisine—areas I'm keen to explore more deeply.
Beyond the kitchen, I'm handy around the house with general maintenance tasks or chores and enjoy tackling simple DIY projects.
I also have some experience with plant care. While I wouldn’t call myself an expert who fully knows what particular kinds of plants need, I do enjoy caring for plants and watching them thrive.
When it comes to animals, I'm quite comfortable with cats, having lived with them for some time. While I'm not familiar with farm animals, I'm enthusiastic about gaining experience in spending time with them as well.
In the past, I have also worked with children. This summer, I was part of a team that took care of primary school children during the holidays. Additionally, at my school, I led a tutoring group for learning French, through which I gained some valuable teaching experience.
Overall, I’m someone who enjoys learning new things, and I'd call myself a quick learner. I’m excited to see what new challenges lie in front of me. I’ve found that with time and dedication, I can usually get the hang of whatever I set my mind to.
