Description
Hi! I'm Maxime,
a recent graduate with a Master's in Biology and a year of study in science education. While I have a strong academic background, I've realized that the traditional desk job isn't for me. Instead, I'm seeking to explore the world, step out of my comfort zone, and embrace the adventure of life through Workaway experiences.
I thrive on adventure and love engaging in activities that keep me active and connected to nature. Photography is my true passion—capturing the beauty of the world through my lens is where I find peace and presence. While others practice yoga or meditation to slow down time, I find that same stillness through my camera. I'm also an avid sports enthusiast; running, cycling, scuba diving, practicing karate, and participating in boy scouts are activities I thoroughly enjoy. But what I cherish the most are the simple, meaningful moments like sharing meals, sitting around a campfire, and watching sunsets with others. Hearing people's stories and learning from their experiences is something I always look forward to.
Though I can be naturally shy and sometimes hesitant to approach new people, I'm eager to challenge myself and grow in this area. I aim to overcome my fears, build confidence, and develop a deeper trust in myself by engaging with diverse communities and embracing new experiences through Workaway. Ultimately, I'm on a journey of self-discovery, seeking clarity about my future path while contributing positively to the places and people I encounter along the way.
With my background in biology and science education, I'm happy to assist with educational projects, environmental outreach, or tutoring. I'm physically active and can contribute to outdoor projects, adventure camps, or any tasks that require energy and enthusiasm. I'm passionate about photography and always eager to improve my skills.I would love to contribute by helping document experiences, creating visual content, or simply capturing beautiful moments during my Workaway experiences. Additionally, I'm always open to learning new skills and adapting to different tasks. Whether it's helping with community projects, sustainable living, or any hands-on work, I'm ready to dive in.
I'm seeking to meet like-minded people, immerse myself in different cultures, and grow through every challenge and opportunity that comes my way. My ultimate goal is to discover more about myself and the world, and I believe Workaway will be the perfect platform for this journey.
If you're looking for someone who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow through new experiences, I'd love to hear from you. Let's create some amazing memories together!
Cheers,
MaximeInterests

More details about your skills
Photography: I’m passionate about photography and enjoy capturing moments that tell a story. Whether it’s documenting daily life, special events, or natural landscapes (I'm still figuring out my niche), I’m eager to use my photography skills to contribute to your project.
Hard Labor & Renovation: Hard work doesn’t scare me. I have hands-on experience assisting with house renovations, helping my father with various tasks such as painting, tiling, and general maintenance. I’m comfortable with physical work and am always ready to get my hands dirty.
Entertainment & Hospitality: I’ve worked as an entertainer for two consecutive summers at a 5-star campsite near Bordeaux, Les Grands Pins. This role involved organizing activities, engaging with guests, and ensuring they had a memorable experience. My time there helped me develop strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work well under pressure. These are the same qualities I use when planning activities or organizing summer camp with the Boy Scouts.
Dedication to Tasks: When I take on a task, I’m committed to seeing it through with my best effort. I take pride in my work and strive to deliver high-quality results, no matter the challenge.
Teaching Experience: I have experience teaching in my home country, Belgium, as well as in Suriname. This has given me the ability to adapt to different educational environments and connect with students from diverse backgrounds. I can assist with educational activities, language practice, or tutoring.
Fieldwork & Research: During my Master’s in Biology, I conducted fieldwork in Vietnam for my thesis. This experience taught me how to work effectively in challenging environments, conduct research, and contribute to scientific projects.
Scuba Diving: I hold a 1* diving license, allowing me to dive up to 15 meters deep. I’m currently working towards my 2* license, which will extend my diving depth to 20 meters. I’m enthusiastic about participating in underwater activities, marine conservation, or any projects related to diving.Age
