Hi, I'm Max.
I love traveling. The most enriching part for me is by far the unique opportunities it brings to view and participate in cultures different from my own. I'm open minded and always ready and enthusiastic to learn about alternative world-views and ways of living.
I've lived my whole life in north London in a very diverse community and have always loved that aspect of city life.
I'm really looking forward to mastering my French and learning new skills this summer in France!

The past few years I have been independently studying French. This year I have made great progress spending a month in Morocco and Senegal. I am close to being fluent and am aiming to master the language this summer whilst in France.I have lived in England all my life so am also happy to help anyone wanting to practice their English.

Despite growing up in London I have always felt connected to nature, getting out into the countryside as much as I can; camping, hiking and surfing all being passions of mine. This year I have grown to love gardening, being lucky enough to have my own in London, as well as helping out in my grandma's. So I am not fussed about some hard work or getting my hands dirty.
I trained as a lifeguard when I was 16 and have worked at my local leisure centre since then. This has taught me teamwork and responsibility as well as making me a competent first aider.
I love to cook, a passion I get from my mother who is a fantastic chef. When travelling it is always a focus of mine to explore the cuisine and flavours of different countries.
Since the age of 14 I have worked as a childminder, and having two younger siblings I have lots of experience with looking after children.

I love to read, mostly literature and philosophy which I am going to study alongside theology at Edinburgh University next year.
I have always been active, playing football and running (amongst other sports) from a young age. I particularly am passionate about martial arts, currently practicing brazilian jui jitsu and having boxed when I was younger. I am experienced in both an am happy to share my knowledge.
I love animals, particularly our pet dog Pip.
I also play chess online though I am not very good.
