  • Description

Hello fellow adventurers! I am Maureen. I am in my 50s and love to meet new people while traveling. In summer 2023, I walked "the camino" in Spain with my husband (over 70 miles!) and it was so worth it. I was a stay-at-home mom for 20 years, but now I have an empty nest. Teaching science online is what I do while at home, but that flexibility also allows me to hit the road when my schedule permits. Staying in shape, eating healthy food and learning new things is what motivates me. I have all sorts of homemaking skills, such as cooking and cleaning for large groups of people. We come from a big family! I do lawn-mowing, landscaping and hiking for fun. I have basic computer skills and can teach many things. Some of my passions are being in nature, learning off grid self-sufficiency, holistic healthy living, manual projects and art work. I love music, reading and dancing. I also love God and my country. My husband and I are Catholic and have been on many pilgrimages throughout our lives.

Hello there! I am Christopher. I am a natural wanderer and a jack of all trades. I am in my 50s and have traveled extensively. Currently, I am on sabbatical from work and am taking the opportunity to go places and try new things. My skills include all kinds of fixing things in homes and buildings, electrical and mechanical. I have been a manager of projects in NYC, in hospitals and corporations. I was a volunteer construction foreman for Habitat for Humanity where I helped to build houses. I have a good understanding of computers and can help with technical problems. HVAC is my main area of expertise. In summer 2024, my wife talked me into a camper project and we spent a lot of time that summer fixing up a Palomino travel trailer. I learned a lot from that! We got to use it and camped both on (park campgrounds) and off grid (Cracker Barrel, anyone?!) According to my wife, I am good at figuring out mass transportation in foreign countries ...since I am a native New Yorker. Although originally a city slicker, I've been in rural northwest NJ for almost 20 years. My passion is being a backyard lumber jack, learning off-grid self-sufficiency, gardening, listening to music and multitasking on DIY projects. My Catholic faith is important to me, keeping me peaceful and grounded in a hectic world. I look forward to my next adventure!
