Hey Everybody,

My name is Matthew, or you can call me Matt if you like. I am 25 years old and from south England, by the coast.

I have spent the last few years working in hotels out in the forest and living in a van. However I have decided to return to full time education this September as it now my dream to go to university. Also, I am currently in preparation to sell my van, and a new era is emerging in my life.

I work hard but also love to look after my health, study the bible and love being with my family. There's not much time left after that! But I defiantly have the travel bug... It is amazing to meet different people and share our stories. I'm fairly practical and enjoy getting stuck into projects, and often surprise myself with my DIY skills. I've got a fair amount of common sense, a willingness to learn and an ability to solve problems. My creative side comes out when I'm not working so much.

After years of doing things my way, now I feel called to give back, and to see what I can do for others. I was baptised just over a year ago, and my life has changed so much for the better (my 2nd picture is me next to the river I was baptised in on the 1 year anniversary recently) I hope that I can give my time and make a difference to your mission!

I do not have as such 'expertise' , rather I have a wide range of general skills

Over the last few years I have gained a lot of experience of working with people through working in hotels, restaurants and as a travel rep.

I live in my van, which I built myself (with help!) - So I learned a lot about DIY through that. Although I am definitely not an expert.

General skills include: cooking, cleaning, general maintence, computer work, good with people.

I enjoy simple things in life over big pleasures. Before i used to enjoy the rush of a fast life, now i find there is so much more to life when we live slow and out in the nature. Relationship with God is very important to me.
