  • Description

Hello! My name's Matthew, I’m 20 years old. I spent 2020-2021 travelling my beautiful home country Canada! My trip across Canada started from a small town in Ontario. Most of my time was spent around the Alberta and British Columbia area hiking the mountains, meeting new people and of course doing workaways! I took some time off in 2022 from volunteering/travelling as I got a full time job in Alberta but I’m wanting to get back out on the open road to gain new experiences and see new places!

I love volunteering as a way to fully immerse myself into the local culture and get the true experience! I'm very interested to come learn about your way of life, explore the area, learn new things and put my skills to use. Thanks for taking the time to look over my profile and I hope to hear from you soon:)
    Matt

  • More details about your skills

I’ve worked for a Masonry company as a labourer for the past year and a half so I have some basic/moderate knowledge in brick and block work and I’m not afraid of manual labour!

I’m very knowledgeable when it comes to mechanics. I used to work on older snowmobile, tractors and vehicles. I can also drive just about anything you need!

I have experience cutting, splitting and stacking firewood with a chainsaw and axe. I also have some experience with tapping maple trees and making maple syrup. Yum!

I also have some basic knowledge in carpentry and electrical but it’s definitely not my strong suit. I’m very eager to learn though and catch on pretty fast!
