Oi, I'm Matilde!
I'm a French student doing a year abroad in São Paulo.
I love traveling, discovering new lifestyles and sharing cultures and languages.

While I'm in Brazil, I want to discover better the country by living and helping locals. I have already had an experience of living with locals with couchsurfing this summer and it was one of my best trips. Staying with locals is the perfect way to understand better the diversity of the world.

In my home university in Paris, I am also very invested in helping others. I have had multiple experiences of volunteering by giving French lessons to refugees, distributing food for people in need and planning social and cultural activities for isolated persons.

I would like with workaway to discover new places, activities and develop new skills! I'm always done for a new adventure :)

I am bilingual in French and Italian, they are both my mother tongues as my mother is French and my father Italian and I have lived in both countries. I also have a high English level (Certificate C1). I have already had experiences of teaching French to refugees in Paris and I would love to keep teaching and sharing the languages I know.

In my family I have also always helped with chores around the house : cleaning the house, helped gardening and also painting walls. And I have often helped by babysitting my little cousins (from 0 to 10 years old).

I have also already organized social and cultural activities for children by helping in a primary school, and also for isolated adults. I've organized art activities, games and museum outings.

I love playing games with cards or board games, but I also love an adventure. I like hiking, swimming and trying new sports even if I'm not always great at them :)
