  • Description

I currently live in Warsaw and I am looking for my new holiday destination near my home. Yes, that's right, I want to relax and as part of that relaxation I want to volunteer again by helping in the garden, with the animals, or around the house doing some DYI works or cooking meals.

I was a volunteer through workaway.info before, for a period of three months, and I loved every bit of my three-month experience. During that time I visited two Swiss farms and met fantastic hosts and fellow volunteers and developed an immense curiosity of and interest in the permaculture gardening, concept of eating what one has grown in their garden(s), and the ability to create and build stuff on one own with the help of natural materials and few tools and machines.

I love nature, especially mountains and forests, and gardening. In one of my past lives, under the influence of my workaway experiences, I started my own project of having a garden (I lived in the mountains for 3 years) and so for 2 years in a row, I managed to grow and tend to my own vegetable gardens (also with help of my ex-boyfriend). Later, when I moved back to the city (this time back in Poland) for new studies program, I found a city community garden where I actively took part in tending to gardens for 2-3 months until my studies became too time-consuming.

Adventure, travelling, being in new environments, meeting new people, and working physically is my second nature. Those are the main reasons why I came up with the idea of being a part of workaway.info in the first place and partly why I am coming back to it after some years. This time around, on top of these, I also need me some time for relaxation and reconnection with my soul-body and the outdoors.

I like spending my free time time reading, meeting/calling friends and family, learning Korean and brushing up on my French, boxing, doing Yoga, meditating, cooking, catching up with the fashion trends, or watching movies on MUBI.

I am a truly open-minded, friendly, curious, straight-forward and generally adventurous person. I love spending time conversing, getting to know the people's stories and see how these shape them, as well as sharing opinions and being confronted with my beliefs and opinions. I'd say I adapt very quickly to new places, people and rhythms as I don't need much to make me happy and I rarely have big expectations. I am looking forward to being inspired and hopefully a little inspiring to you too.

  • What else ...

I am looking forward to meeting my hosts and figuring out what can be my contribution to the activities they're usually occupied with, the work around the house, and the general atmosphere and vibe. Generally, I am easy going, flexible, respectful, and empathetic, and I get along the easiest with alike people. I love to learn new things and skills, so even if I cannot do something yet, it'd be great to earn the host's trust to get the chance to do something that I've never done before. Since I am also looking for a place and moment to relax, despite the work and some time spent with the host(s), I would like to have the time for myself when I could recharge and do nothing staying in the shared space and the surroundings - no matter the weather.
