  • Description

    Hello everyone,

My name is Martina, I'm 26 years old, and I consider myself a cheerful person who makes friends easily, even though I'm a bit shy deep down. I started my Ph.D. last November, and this August I'll finally have some free time. I want to embark on a fulfilling experience that allows me to dedicate myself to my passions and get to know myself better outside the academic context, which has been quite consuming over the past years.

I'm highly motivated by the desire to explore new environments and meet people from different backgrounds. I believe that stepping out of my comfort zone is essential for personal growth and gaining new perspectives. My academic journey has been intense, and I'm eager to balance it with experiences that nurture my soul and broaden my horizons.

I have a deep love for animals, especially dogs and cats, and I feel an infinite empathy towards them. I volunteered for a month at an animal shelter in Greece last year, and it was an incredibly rewarding and formative experience. I fell in love with it, and it really deepened my connection to animals. Working with them has taught me a lot about compassion, patience, and the joy of giving.

Although I'm not yet a vegetarian, it's something I'm planning to transition to in the future. I'm very interested in learning more about sustainable living and how I can contribute to a healthier planet.

I have to admit that I'm not very skilled in cooking, but I have a lot of enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn. I'm eager to pick up new recipes and techniques, and I believe that with a bit of guidance and practice, I can improve my culinary skills. Cooking and sharing meals with others is something I find very enjoyable, and I look forward to learning more in this area.

What brings me happiness is a blend of simple and profound experiences. I find joy in spending time in nature, whether it's hiking, walking along the beach, or just relaxing in a park. I also find great happiness in my family and loved ones; their support and love mean the world to me.

One of my future goals is to continue volunteering and perhaps even work on projects that combine my love for animals with community service. I also want to explore more about different cultures and ways of living, as I believe this will enrich my understanding of the world and myself.

Unfortunately, my life experiences have been somewhat limited, and I'm eager to learn new things and open myself up to people who are different from me. I believe that this journey will help me grow and develop in ways I haven't yet imagined.

    Animal Care:
I have a deep passion for animals, especially dogs and cats. I have extensive experience volunteering at my local animal shelter, where I helped care for dogs, socialize them, and assist with their basic training and rehabilitation. My empathy towards animals and my understanding of their needs make me well-suited for any tasks involving pet care.

    Communication and Teamwork:
I consider myself a friendly and approachable person, making it easy for me to build relationships and work well in a team. Despite being a bit shy initially, I quickly warm up to people and enjoy collaborating on projects. My academic background has also provided me with strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Willingness to Learn:
While I may not have extensive experience in all areas, I have a strong willingness to learn and adapt. I approach new challenges with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. For example, although I'm not very skilled in cooking, I'm eager to learn and improve. I believe this openness to new experiences makes me a versatile and valuable addition to any team.

    Gardening:
Although I don't have much experience with gardening, I am eager to learn. My grandfather is an excellent gardener, and I am inspired to carry on his legacy. I am enthusiastic about acquiring new gardening skills and contributing to any gardening projects.

  • What else ...

Unfortunately, I have never really focused on my hobbies because I was too concentrated on my academic life. This is something I need to change. I want to explore and develop new interests outside of academics. Whether it's learning new board games, engaging in outdoor activities, or discovering new hobbies, I am open and excited to try new things and find a better balance in life.
