LearningDescription
Hello everyone! I am Martina, Italian researcher and I live in Luxembourg. I decided to take a sabbatical year to travel, putting into practice the skills I've acquired throughout my academic and professional journeys. My goal is to share these skills with the people we meet along the way, offering my help and support wherever possible. I am excited to experience new things, immerse ourselves in local cultures, and enrich ourselves through human connections. For me, workaway represents not only a personal growth opportunity but also a way to positively contribute to the communities I will have the privilege of encountering. I can't wait to see what this adventure has in store for me and to share everything I learn with you!

More details about your skills
Hey there! We’re Martina and Alessandro, a fun and energetic couple ready to bring our skills and passion to your project. I’m Martina, an active, resourceful, and sociable person who loves making people happy, especially those in need. Since I was 18, I’ve been working in entertainment with both kids and adults. I’ve done clown therapy in pediatric wards, taught Rom and inner-city children, and tutored college students as a neuroscience researcher. Recently, I volunteered at a major music festival in Luxembourg, helping with equipment setup and serving beer. I’m also a painter, often doing commissions and exhibiting my work. My first workaway experience was in Albania, where I helped organize a hostel and painted a mural. Alessandro here! I’m an outgoing, talkative, and friendly guy. I’ve lived abroad for seven years and speak English, Spanish, and French. I love exploring new places, camping, biking, and meeting new people. I’ve volunteered with Caritas, teaching refugees different subjects, and have organized events and social gatherings at university. I also founded the Chess Club at the University of Luxembourg and enjoy sports like boxing, swimming, running, climbing, yoga, and basketball. Why pick us? We’ve got a wide range of skills from entertainment and teaching to event planning and sports. We’ve done a lot of volunteer work, so we’re great at adapting to new environments and helping out wherever needed. We speak several languages, making it easy to connect with people from different backgrounds. Plus, we’re creative, energetic, and bring a positive vibe wherever we go. We’re super excited about the chance to work with you and can’t wait to contribute to your project in any way we can.
Cheers!Age

What else ...
Apart from loving research and travel, we're big fans of art, music, and sports. Martina plays the guitar, and Alessandro has produced music and recorded a few songs with an amateur band. We're also into staying active with yoga, hiking, and climbing. It's our way of staying fit and enjoying the great outdoors. This workaway is a chance for us to grow and give back to the communities we visit. We can't wait to see where this adventure takes us and to share our experiences with you!
