Greetings! It's a pleasure to introduce myself. My name is Marium, and I am currently pursuing my Masters in Local Development at the second oldest university in Italy, University of Padua.

Originally from Pakistan, I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively throughout South Asia and Africa over the last few years, and I am now excited to be exploring Europe as well! As a person, I pride myself on being friendly, easy-going, and clean. My love of travel is rooted in my desire to meet new people and engage with different cultures. When I am not exploring new corners of the world, I enjoy indulging in my passion for painting and journaling. These creative outlets help me navigate my life with clarity and presence. In addition to my love for the arts, I am also an avid cook. I find great joy in preparing meals and sharing them with others. As a community-oriented individual, spending time with others is an essential aspect of my life.

Having worked as an English language tutor for over 5 years, I have developed a genuine passion for teaching and assisting students in enhancing their language abilities. Throughout my tutoring experience, I have gained a profound understanding of the various challenges learners face when trying to master a new language, which has enabled me to become a more empathetic and effective educator. My years of teaching have given me a deep appreciation for the power of language and the importance of communication. As a result, I am eager to continue learning and teaching from others. I am currently in Europe for the first time, and I am thrilled at the prospect of learning various languages and immersing myself in different cultures. The potential to broaden my understanding of the world through language learning is incredibly exciting to me!

In addition to my teaching expertise, I am a multi-skilled individual with a wide range of interests and hobbies. I enjoy volunteering and have experience managing hostels, including reception work and handling paperwork and clientele work. I also have a green thumb and love gardening and farm work. DIY projects are another passion of mine, and I enjoy exploring my creative side through various art forms.

To maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle, I regularly practice yoga and meditation. I find these practices not only help me stay fit and centered but also enhance my ability to teach and connect with others.

In addition to all these interests, I am also a big fan of adventure sports. From hiking and trekking, I love pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and testing my limits. A huge goal of mine this year is to try to learn either windsurfing or skiing!

Overall, I'm a curious, open-minded, and adventurous person who's always looking for new experiences and ways to grow.
