Hi
I'm Marit from Norway! I found WorkAway seeking meaningful experiences, wanting to connect through sharing skills and good conversations.
My biggest wish is to bring back home knowledge about the ways of living with the land, growing food and medicine through permacultural principles. For my dream is to create a space in Norway where people can come teach and learn about the ways to live connected to the nature around and growing plants and herbes naitive to my country.
Bringing back the wisdom of the soil and magic within the seeds.
I daily practice movement through yoga and stillness through meditation. One of the things I love the most is baking and making food, gathering friends around the table and eating telling stories. Slowly getting back to my creative flow, always bringing my book, writing or sketching.
The last year I have been living in a smaller village, studying nature and environmental science at the local university. I found it hard to spend this much time inside- learning about the outside. I decided to take a break from my studies, spend more time learning by doing.
Seeking community where people see each other and care for one and other.Interests

I see power in collaboration and I believe that peoples highest potential can be unlocked when believed in by themselves and given trust by others. I experienced this when I got to join a river restauration project this fall. Spending hours observing the flow, trying to mimic the natural forms, moving small rocks and big blocks, restoring habitats and spawning area.
I love making food and experimenting with new flavours, for me that's therapeutic. Some days I enjoy having smaller and concrete tasks to focus on, like painting, drawing, writing and creating with fabric of some kind.Age
