Hello, my name is Marie. I am 28 years old and I´m from Leipzig; Germany. I finished my studies as a primary school teacher this year and now I want to do a gap year and travel east Europe.

Through my former jobs I gathered some experience in different fields, e.g. in teaching (age 6 to 10); in Hospitality and Tourism (working in a boat rental station and as a waitress), in reatail (working at a delicatessen and a gym), in volunteer work (providing food for homeless people and working as a kayak teacher for kids).
I can cook and bake, I can take care of plants and animals.

My biggest passion is kayaking. Since I was a little girl, my family and I used to go on kayaking and camping trips around Germany and Europe. We also went to Bulgaria to kayak on the Danube quite often and thats how I fell in love with Bulgaria. Back in Leipzig I used to be part of a bulgarian folkdance group.

I stayed 4 weeks at the hostel and I enjoyed every single day! Rado made me feel welcome from the very beginning. He was very flexible about the working hours, transparent about the payment and clear on the instructions. It has been an absolutly amazing experience to stay and work with Carol in her house in Cherven for four weeks. We were mainly doing renovations like mud and pointing work and were also planting vegetables in the garden. It was a pleasure to stay with Diana! Altough I never worked or lived with dogs before, I felt totaly comfortable during my two-weeks-visit. Diana showed a lot of patience explaining to me how to handle the dogs. The work was absolutely fine. I am very grateful for the amazing time at Phuket Dog Resort!!!
