Hi there! I am Maria, an environmental specialist with a deep love for sustainability, mindfulness, nature, and animals :)

WHY DO I WANT TO WORKAWAY?
- For years this was a goal of mine and so I was always waiting for the "right" moment to find some time to start a workaway where I could help with interesting projects while meeting open-minded people around the world
- Finishing my studies in "Environmental Sciences and Policy" some months ago, I now want to learn more about sustainable ways of living, and finally see into "action" what I read in books and articles
- I also cannot wait to learn from different ways of seeing the world and share these experiences with people who share my values and try to have a positive impact.

WHAT CAN I BRING TO THE WORKAWAY?
- I´ve worked for more than 5 years in project management in the areas of tourism and sustainable tourism
- I can bring the knowledge learned in my master's studies, especially in the areas of permaculture, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable tourism; but also in sustainable management, nature-based solutions, etc.
- I have a to-do attitude, love learning, and do not mind at all getting my hands dirty!
- I love cooking vegetarian dishes and even more, sharing them with kind people
- I have lived surrounded by animals since I was a kid. I love learning more about them, did horseriding for many years, and I am ready to give them the love and care they deserve
- I speak several languages, so I am happy to practice them with you :)
- I love doing yoga, meditation and outdoor sports, so you might get a sports friend

OTHERS:
- I am a tidy person and understand the importance of everyone helping in a house to keep it running; said this I am not looking for workaways where some of my main tasks are focused on cleaning, as my goal is to learn more about sustainability and share my knowledge too
- I am vegetarian, but I can adapt if there are enough veggies/fruits that I can eat instead
- I love dancing, listening to music, having conversations, spending time in nature and gardening, camping, doing via-ferratas, traveling...
