Hi! My name is Marianne, I am Dutch, living in Barcelona for the last 25 years, female, with an adventurous spirit, outgoing character, and full of energy. I am traveling 5 monhs per year to do voluntary work in Central and South America.

In Barcelona, I am a professor at a Business School where I teach the topic of Organizational Behavior and I am as well a trainer & consultant in leadership, teamwork and communication skills. My background is in Social and Organizational Psychology.

I speak Englisch and Spanish fluently and my native language is Dutch.

So far I did community projects:

In Panama:
- Supporting the local community of Chame with education, female empowerment projects, and workshops for children and teachers.
- A project aimed at teaching children to play chess. I specifically gave support with the extension of the project, business plan, social media, and local workshops.
- I worked at the reception desk of a hostal for a few weeks.
- I joined the Floating Doctors in Bocas del Toro for 4 weeks.

In the Dominican Republic:
- Organizing a project for female entrepreneurs. I gave training to the women on the technical aspects of developing their business, as well as self-esteem and communication.

In Colombia:
- Teaching young boys teamwork, leadership and communication skills in a Foundation for addictions.

Why am I doing this?

Since the pandemic, I have wanted to use my professional experience, and my talent to connect people in places where they won't have acces to my expertise if they would have to pay for it.

In my life, I have continuously welcomed new adventures and people.
Learning and change are ongoing aspects of my life.

Connecting people is my great passion and I am good at it!
