Description
Dear hosts,
We are Maria and Anna. Two best mates from Barcelona in our late twenties. We aimed to start this journey back in 2020 but Covid-19 and life itself had different plans for us. Now, five years later we are ready to embark on this adventure and looking to travel around South-est of Asia.
A little bit about us; we met ten years ago while studying a Bachelor degree in Environmental Science at the University of Barcelona. Forming a life-long friendship through our shared passion for nature and the environment. Sharing gratitude and a respect to nature and all it provides to us. We value our resources and try as much as possible to have a lifestyle according to our principles.
We are enthusiastic and easy going. We are all about being outside; hiking, diving, exploring and camping. Drawn to the ocean and the peacefulness of living simply, learning of the cultures in different communities of the World. We value connection to others, embracing new experiences, doing our best, and always having fun!
Our backgrounds,
Maria has been working at a Wildlife conservation center for the last five years. Where she takes part in different projects in order to bring different fauna back to its natural habitat. In the Center she also runs tours based on the importance of environmental education. She has a sixth sense for nature and its wildlife. Her connection is something admirable. She has gained different skills from working and handling tools to guiding and leading educational projects for schools.
Anna has been living around Australia for the last five years. Working in the tourism industry on boats for the last two years; as a deckhand, divemaster and lately as a Scuba diving instructor. She also has more than four years of experience in hospitality: from serving guests, to managing cafes, to working in the kitchen or running the housekeeping department in a resort..have done it all!
In our early twenties both of us worked with children at Summer camps and have plenty of experience teaching and looking after kids with different ages. We speak Catalan, Spanish and English. We enjoy cooking and learning all about traditional cuisine. We are super pet friendly and would love to live with them if the opportunity comes up!
