Description
Dear hosts,
We are couple from Denmark interested in doing work around in Africa. We are new to Workaway, and excited to use it
Jonathan, 28, holds a degree in Disaster and Risk Management and is a former sergeant in the Danish Defense. He has training in teaching, public speaking, and health and safety. In his most recent role as Global Safety Manager at Falck, an international ambulance company, Jonathan worked closely with diverse cultures and communities across the organization to improve safety practices and help everyone return home safely to their families. His lifelong passion lies in helping people in every way he can and to learn, adapt and respect other cultures and customs.
Matilde, 28, holds a Master’s degree in Economics and has a background in sustainable investment management. In her previous role, she focused on climate-centered projects, assessing and developing strategies for investments that promote environmental responsibility and social impact. Matilde collaborated closely with various communities and stakeholders, gaining insight into their distinct cultural approaches and sustainability goals. Her work required a deep understanding of both economic analysis and environmental impact, enabling her to help develop initiatives that benefit people and the planet alike.
Matilde’s passion for creating positive change has been a constant motivator in her career, inspiring her to pursue projects that support long-term environmental resilience and social well-being. She brings a unique blend of analytical skills and empathy to her work, making her deeply committed to both the welfare of communities and the health of our planet.
We are humbly and respectfully eager to learn new cultures, languages and other ways of life. We always strive to follow and show attentiveness to local rules and customs.
We hope we can help you in any way possible using our skills and education.Interests

In any country where we have the opportunity to volunteer, we are genuinely eager to learn the local language. We believe that understanding and speaking the local language not only helps us connect more deeply with the community but also shows our respect and commitment to the culture. We’re excited by the chance to communicate directly with those we work alongside and to gain a more authentic understanding of local customs and daily life. Embracing the language is, for us, an essential part of truly immersing ourselves in the communitySkills and knowledge we'd like to share or learn
