Hello!
My name is Magdalena, I am 30 years old, and I’m from Austria. I’m excited to spend a year traveling through Central and South America to gain new experiences, particularly in gastronomy, tourism and agriculture. My native language is German, I speak English fluently, and I’m eager to improve my Spanish during my travels.
I have over ten years of experience in the gastronomy & tourism industry and have gained extensive knowledge of wine, especially through my work in a wine bar, where I also managed the social media presence. I also worked as a location and destination manager for a small city in Austria. There I got many responsibilities, including coordinating both internal and external communications, as well as managing the city’s tourism social media account.
Growing up on a farm, I also have practical experience in agriculture and I am handy with a variety of tasks. I enjoy gardening and bring my marketing skills to the table. When it comes to cooking and eating, I’m open to trying anything and love experimenting with new recipes and techniques.
I chose Central and South America because I want to improve my language skills and to learn more about the region’s rich wine and food culture. My long-term goal is to work in the wine and tourism business again, and I believe that hands-on experiences at farms, vineyards, and with local hosts will provide the best lessons.
I’m a cheerful and positive person who enjoys working in a team but can also handle tasks independently. I’m looking forward to new adventures and am open to working in both rural and urban settings – I believe the mix is what makes it exciting!
I hope we can connect, and I would love to contribute to your work.
Best regards,
MagdalenaInterests

I spent five wonderful weeks volunteering at this cozy little hostel in Mendoza, and it truly felt like a second home. Since it’s a smaller place, the atmosphere is very familiar and welcoming, and I quickly became part of the little hostel family – especially with some long-term guests around.
