¡Hola!

I'm Maria Fernanda, but everyone calls me Mafe, I'm Colombian, 27 years old.

By profession I am pharmacist and I love it! But I also have great curiosity to explore the world, travel and grow other areas of my life beyond the professional; that's why currently I find myself traveling! An adventure, leaving my learning a lot about life and about myself.

Previously I have done some charity and ecological volunteering in my country, the last one was a whole month in a remote area of Colombia developing some ecological work and it was amazing, living in a little old wood house surrounded by nature. I really liked to have the chance of getting to know better the place, its dynamics and some traditions, and of course I loved that I had more time to connect with the people, share amazing talks and experiences.

Service and helping is part of what I am, I enjoy when I can help. Volunteering has allowed me to feel so grateful and free, to learn many diverse things and practice skills and abilities that I like to strengthen, and above all, to know people around me that now I can call friends ♥. Definitely this is something I'll like to keep doing.

I'm a very gentle and loving woman, easily amazed by things; I love nature and spaces where I can explore my creativity, and also feel calm.

I easily adapt, I'm very motivated to learn things and I alwasys try to do everything in the best possible way.

I know how to cook (Latin and Colombian food mainly that I'm happy to share), I'm good at cleaning and tidying.

As a pharmacist, I'm naturally interested in medicinal plants and phytochemistry. I also have some skills in gardening, seedbeds, growing food. During my past volunteering I've learnt about ecological work, including artisanal soap making.

Given my fascination for crafts, I have explored different creation techniques so I can teach about:
-Cold porcelain, clay, plasticine (modeling)
-Painting
-Fabric dolls
-Needle felting
-Lettering
-Other crafts

I'm also talented in handmade/artistic, so I could help with other activities if you explain to me how to do it.

Moreover, I have worked with children (1-12 years old) many times, as a babysitter, children entertainer and teaching art workshops and, I have enjoyed a lot to play and share with them. I really like kids, we get along well, I got the patience and the attitude required to spend a long time with children and make them have a good time.

As a volunteer I have also designed some graphic pieces for Instagram for a health account, which were very well received by the community.

I would really like to find spaces where I can retake these activities, develop them better and learn.

In general, I tend to get along well with people, I'm cheerful and dynamic.
I feel very motivated with what I am doing now with my life so I know that I will provide truly genuine support, also I'm responsible and committed to what I do and I like to do it as well as possible.

In addition, I like organized and clean spaces so I have no problem helping with some cleaning/maintenance tasks, I am happy to collaborate.
