Hi everyone! We are Maelle & Nic.
We met in the Netherlands, while studying Industrial Design Engineering in 2021. Although we both found a common passion for this study, our profiles are slightly different to each other. Here is a short introduction of us individually:
Maelle, 23. I am half French half Hungarian. I grew up wanting to explore the world, so I spent a year in the US at 16, in a host family. After highschool, I moved to the Netherlands and started studying, pursuing a passion in an artistic yet engineering degree. I love drawing, painting, creating... In my free time I also enjoy sports like running, cycling and climbing. I have spent 3 months in Thailand in 2024, teaching English thanks to workaway. I fell in love with the authentic way of discovering a culture and I can't wait to travel and help out more!
Nic, 25. I’m from the UK originally but moved to the Netherlands to study Industrial Design Engineering (Where I met Maelle). I’m currently doing my Masters Degree, working as a maker space technician and freelance engineer for researchers. I love working with my hands and try to repair and build things myself rather than throw things away. I boulder a lot in the Netherlands and have worked as a summer camp instructor in California. I normally teach windsurfing, sailing and climbing but am always open to new adventures and activities. I’ve also done a few workaways (mostly in Northern Europe) and want to do more!! It’s an amazing concept and I want to contribute to it.

I (Maelle) consider myself to be mainly organized and creative. My passion for art drives me to find new solutions and I'd like to think that I'm very much forward thinker.
As for Nic, he is talented in tinkering and will love to take on a challenge to fix up whatever needs fixing. He's also a great leader and very good with people. We worked together in a summer camp in the US, where he was the assistant director, and everything worked well.
We are a great team and would love to come and help you with anything you can think of.
