I am a 20 year old Canadian university student looking to learn new skills and meet new people! I am very energetic and reliable and believe in giving my 100% to every new challenge that comes my way.

I absolutely love animals, especially horses and dogs, and have quite a bit of experience riding horses as well as working as a stable hand with a wide variety of horses with different temperaments. In my free time I love to run, play sports, read, and explore. I absolutely love the rain and and am outside everyday rain or shine.

In Canada, I work as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor and have extensive First Aid and emergency response training as well as a passion for working with the public and teaching kids and adults how to swim.

I am staying in Costa Rica for a year as part of an International Fellowship through my university, and am looking for 3 months of full time volunteering anywhere In Costa Rica. For the first four months of this fellowship I will be learning Spanish full time and should be at full professional working proficiency by the time I start of volunteering. I am fully bilingual in both English and French, and would be more than happy to help others practice their English while I practice my Spanish.

I am currently in the process of learning Spanish and would love to practice my Spanish while volunteering. I would also be interested in helping others learn English as I truly believe that being able to communicate in more than one language opens up so many doors to invaluable intercultural experiences and I would love to help others reach their language goals while I work on mine.

Most of my work experience is customer service and working with children, but I am a quick learner and am keen to expand my current skills. I am fluent in both English and French, and currently studying Spanish full-time.

I have been a summer camp counsellor for four years with youth ages 5 to 18 years old. Over the years I have been promoted to coordinator and team management positions alongside taking on medical team lead and head lifeguard positions. I also teach swimming lessons to both children and adults, and I love to make learning a fun and engaging process.

I am good at interacting with customers and guests especially when it comes to solving problems and making every experience a positive one. Communication is the key to any successful conflict resolution and something that I study at university where I am minoring in Organizational Behaviour and Management.

I worked at a riding barn in high school and would do morning feedings to roughly 40 horses each with their own nutritional needs and supplements. I mucked out stalls, helped riders get tacked up safely, did general barn cleaning, swept the aisles, assisted with pasture maintenance, and turned out all the horses to pasture every day. I am physically fit and able to complete most essential barn tasks. Through riding and working with a large variety of different horses, I have gained experience handling younger horses and those with diverse temperaments.

If there is a technical skill that I do not currently possess — I will learn. I am an incredibly hard worker and driven to be the best version of myself that I can be, which includes being flexible and open to new and challenging projects.
