Description

I grew up In Leeds, Yorkshire but have travelled and studied in various places. Over the past 2 years I have explored new cities abroad (such as Rome, Innisbruck, Prague and Antalya), seeing historical monuments and experienced new culture, all of which has inspired my workaway applications. Shortly after joining workaway, I spent a month in Trastanello, Italy kickstarting a Lavander farm project by preparing land and hand planting seedlings. I later spent 3 months doing general site work at a Kayaking outfitters on Lake superior in Wawa, Canada.

From a sporting backgrounds, the endgoal is to be working in the sports development sector. In the meantime, for real life experience I inspire to contribute to sustainable development goal projects for valuable life experience in my desired sectors.

From workaway I hope to explore different culture with a personable approach, building community along the way. Projects which are hands on and that I can transfer my physical capabilities to would be ideal to maintain my physically active lifestyle.

Being active is a big part of who I am—whether it’s hiking, exploring, or just moving under the open sky, I thrive on adventure. With travelling I hope to connect to a new culture and take in some beautiful landscapes.

At university we had both studied sport science with a heavy focus on sustainable development and psychology. Outside of our sporty backgrounds we are well rounded in hobbies and interests which can range from a quiet hike to concerts to board games. We find a lot of enjoyment in the company and time with others.
