Hi, I’m Melissa—welcome to my profile!
Last year I quit my corporate consulting job. My mission now? To throw myself into new (nature) experiences and soak up as much knowledge as I can. Whether it’s learning about permaculture farming/Syntropic agroforestry, building local communities, getting fluent in Spanish, improving my surfing, or experimenting with different cuisines, I’m ready for it all.
I get a lot of satisfaction from leaving a place better than I found it. I'm all about having fun and making others happy. I’m super curious, especially when it comes to meeting people from different backgrounds. I love learning new things, and I’m just as excited to teach what I know (design, data / financial knowledge, building websites (like: ranchopalmar.org). Exploring new cultures, especially through their food, is something I’m really passionate about.
I’m looking forward to bringing my curiosity, energy, and love for life to whatever comes next, and I can’t wait to meet new people and have some amazing experiences.

- Worked for AIESEC and know a lot about the SDG's
- Management consultant in project and program management
- Study background in marketing, with a focus on branding, which led me to a stint as a freelancer in content creation, including logo and company branding, as well as web design.
- Event management: I've organized a festival for 2000+ people and been a camp leader multiple times, managing over 400 students, and helped build a surf camp from the ground up (literally, lots of dusty work!).
- Can make you the perfect beer, which I learned by working in a pub
- I’m a pretty decent cook too (I LOVE to host dinners for friends and family multiple times per year)
- Really into sports, especially water- and mountain sports, cycling, and hockey, and like organizing event around this.
- Being creative. I love painting, small projects, but also creatively painting walls in venues. And love to present and act, having performed in multiple plays and presented lots of Open Mic's.
- Good singer (at least I think so after 5 beers in the karaoke bar). Someone once said ''you should do something with that''. He meant 'get lessons'...
